Who we are
Bolo Advertising ("we", "us", "our") is a paid media agency based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. We run advertising and measurement for growth-stage businesses, and this website describes our services.
If you have questions about this policy or how we handle your information, email us at jon@boloadvertising.com.
Information we collect
We collect information in three ways: when you contact us, when you book time with us, and when you browse the site.
- What you submit. When you use our contact, free audit, or consultation booking forms, we receive what you give us — typically your name, email address, phone number, business name, website, monthly ad spend, and your message.
- Booking information. Consultations are scheduled through our scheduling tool (GoHighLevel), which collects the details you enter when booking — such as your name, email, and the time you select.
- Usage data. Like most websites, we collect basic usage information through cookies and similar technologies. We use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to understand how the site is used, and advertising pixels (such as Google Ads, Meta, Microsoft, LinkedIn, and TikTok) to measure whether our own advertising is effective.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to respond to your inquiries, to schedule and run consultations and audits, to deliver services to our clients, to improve this website, and to measure the performance of our advertising.
We do not sell personal information. We don't rent it, trade it, or hand it over to data brokers.
How we share information
We share personal information only in three situations:
- With service providers that help us run the business — for example, hosting, scheduling and CRM tools, analytics, and email delivery. These providers process information on our behalf.
- When required by law — for example, in response to a valid legal request from a court or government authority.
- With your consent — if you ask us to share something, we will.
Client account data
When clients grant us access to their advertising, analytics, or business accounts, we use that access only to perform the services we've agreed to. We don't use client account data for anything else, and clients can revoke our access at any time through their own account settings — or by asking us to remove it, which we'll do promptly.
Google user data and internal tools
Bolo Advertising operates an internal productivity application that may access Google account data (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Docs). This access exists solely for accounts owned by Bolo Advertising personnel who explicitly authorize it, and it is used to organize meeting notes, tasks, and scheduling.
This data is not sold, not used for advertising, not used to train generalized AI models, and not shared with third parties except as needed to provide that functionality.
Bolo Advertising's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Cookies and your choices
You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies; note that blocking cookies may affect how some websites (including parts of this one) function.
If you'd like to opt out of personalized advertising from Google, you can adjust your settings at adssettings.google.com. You can also opt out of interest-based advertising from many companies at once through the industry opt-out pages operated by the Network Advertising Initiative (optout.networkadvertising.org) and the Digital Advertising Alliance (optout.aboutads.info).
Data retention and security
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy — for example, we keep inquiry details so we can follow up, and we keep client records for as long as the working relationship and our legal obligations require.
We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe and limit who can access it.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you access to the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Email jon@boloadvertising.com and we'll take care of it.
Residents of certain states — California is a common example — may have additional rights under their state's privacy laws. If you're exercising a right under your state's law, mention that in your email and we'll make sure it's handled correctly.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
